The Starling Medical Group, PC is looking for a Clinical Therapy Team Lead to help manage its world-class therapist team. This role combines direct patient care with managerial responsibilities. You will provide direct patient care for at least 10 hours per week and manage a team of 10-20 contract therapists. You will report directly to the Clinical Therapy Manager.
The ideal candidate is a behavioral health professional independently licensed in Maryland. This candidate has an interest and expertise in perinatal mental health, a passion for providing direct patient care that delivers exceptional outcomes and skill in managing and motivating a therapist team. You’ll excel in this role if you are an empathic clinician, intuitive leader, able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and an excellent communicator. What we look for

  • Experience and empathy as a leader, manager, and administrator
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot tasks effectively
  • Experience serving prenatal and postpartum families
  • Clinical expertise utilizing evidence-based models of care such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Patient-Centered Therapy
  • Experience, skill, and passion for facilitating online therapy
  • Empathetic and intuitive listener with strong verbal and written communication
  • Comfort and proficiency with virtual platforms, electronic health records, and google suite, as well as an eagerness to learn new programs efficiently
  • Excited to join an early stage team building the future of maternal mental healthcare
  • An ability to laugh at yourself and with others; we take our work seriously, but want to have fun while doing it!

What you'll do

  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions for a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of therapists, providing feedback, and guidance through regular check-ins with direct reports and monthly individual meetings
  • Collaborate with therapists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients, based on comprehensive assessments and clinical best practices
  • Serve as main point of contact for a therapist team, answering questions and providing support in a timely manner
  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance through charting note reviews and identifying areas for improvement
  • Attend monthly therapy team meetings
  • Host open office hours for a team of therapists, to answer clinical questions
  • Contribute to the Starling Medical Group culture while supporting and encouraging therapist team engagement to motivate and excite our clinical professionals
