Position Overview:
Seven Starling is looking to add a world-class Care Advocate to join our Care Support team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Care Coordinator who is passionate about improving maternal mental health outcomes and is energized by the opportunity to ensure our patients receive compassionate and effective mental health care and our clinicians treating them receive world class support. You will excel in this role if you have a strong attention to detail, love staying organized, enjoy learning new systems and tools, and are skilled at developing and implementing scalable processes that help our operations run efficiently.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a patient support, customer service, or healthcare-related role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using standard office applications (e.g., Google Suite).Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to patient support.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and providers, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assist with scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, including managing conflicts and optimizing appointment schedules.
  • Coordinate care activities, including referrals to specialists, follow-up appointments, and coordination with other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
  • Provide support to patients and providers navigating the healthcare system, including explaining procedures, insurance processes, and available resources.
  • Assist in the resolution of patient or provider issues or complaints, escalating more complex concerns to the appropriate team members or supervisors.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices and organizational changes.
  • Propose updates to key processes as needed to maintain them.
